Care & Maintenance
Wood Furniture
Dust regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth. Use a mild soap solution for stubborn dirt, wiping gently along the wood grain.
Avoid harsh chemicals, ammonia-based cleaners, and excess water. Dry immediately with a clean, dry cloth after cleaning.
Seagrass
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth in the direction of the seagrass strands. Wiping in another direction may force loose debris between the strands.
- Gently dab and blot spills immediately with a damp cloth. Do not rub. Rubbing can cause permanent abrasion damage to the seagrass.
- Gently vacuum periodically with a soft brush attachment periodically to prevent debris from lodging between the seagrass strands.
- Seagrass is a natural material. As seagrass ages it will turn a beautiful shade of tan. Use your chair indoors and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve the beauty of this natural material.
- Avoid putting undue stress like kneeling or standing on the seat.
- Do not pull on the small grass-like fibers that may protrude from the seagrass strands as you may cause damage. The fibers add to the natural, organic appearance however should you wish to remove them, please do so carefully by trimming with scissors.

Shake and/or vacuum your sheepskin occasionally to remove dust and debris. In the event of a spill or stain, mix wool-specific detergent with warm water to produce foam. Using foam only (never soak or submerge sheepskin in water - it will harden the suede on the back), work the foam over the affected area and pat dry with a clean cloth. Shake and leave to dry, finish with a combing Alternatively, your sheepskin can be dry cleaned. Do not leave sheepskins in direct sunlight as it may result in colour change.
Upholstery

Alta'™ Cleaning Guide
1. Liquids beading up:
- Gently blot (don't rub) the spill immediately with a dry, clean, absorbent cloth, paper towel or napkin. No rinsing needed!
2. Residual spots:
- Remove any excess soil or debris from the surface. Flush the soiled area liberally with warm water then blot with a dry, clean, absorbent cloth.
- Change the cloth surface frequently until the spot is gone. Try to avoid brushing which can spread the stain; keep repeating the process until the spot has been removed.
- Repeat again by rinsing with warm water and then blot with a dry, clean, absorbent cloth if needed.
- A warm water extraction machine is an excellent tool to clean soiled fabrics. Please follow the instructions on the machine for use.
- Steam cleaning can damage the fiber of the fabric and is not recommended.
3. Difficult or stubborn stains:
- Follow steps 1 & 2 first... then mix 2-3 drops of a mild dishwashing detergent with a cup of water and apply to the soiled area.
- Gently work the solution into the area, wait a minute and blot the spot with a dry, clean, absorbent cloth. Repeat until the spot has been completely removed.
- After cleaning, be sure to rinse thoroughly with warm water and blot to remove any soap residue. Any remaining soap not rinsed away in the fabric can cause a re-occurring stain.
