Babiche Seat:
Our babiche (natural rawhide) seats are handcrafted by soaking long rawhide strips until soft and weaving them around the frame. The rawhide shrinks as it dries and hardens to create a very durable, supportive and beautiful surface.

Frame: Solid FSC Certified Maple

Finish: Hand Sanded, painted or stained with lacquer clear coat.

Babiche (Rawhide):
• Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
• Wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth.
• Vacuum periodically with a soft brush attachment to remove debris that may have become lodged between the weaves.
• Use indoors and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve the beauty of this natural material.
• Avoid putting undue stress like kneeling or standing on the seat.
